| Message from Campaign Chair |
Hello Live United Team- You've all heard me talk about what a great place the Sioux Empire is. You've also heard me talk about the United Way being such a part of the very fabric of our community and how our business community responds to a challenge.
Well, let me tell you about one recent response that is worth noting - First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard. They challenged their employees with this: FOR EVERY NEW DOLLAR YOU GIVE, WE WILL MATCH IT WITH A CORPORATE DOLLAR.
Wow! Well guess what - the employees responded with a $52,000 increase. I think you can calculate what happens when the corporate match is added.
Stories and actions like this are what makes this a great place to live, and even greater are the stories we are hearing from businesses all over the Sioux Empire. It is all of the efforts big and small, from everyone, that will help us reach our 2010 Goal. Keep up the good work everyone and remember, if you think you can, or you think you can't, you're probably right.

First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard
 ECM Stephanie Jarvoski and HCC Dick Birath, together with their committee, planned a variety of activities and rallies to build on their corporate match incentive.
 Heart Club members and prospective members started their campaign by receiving a heart pounding invitation to a Heart Club reception. Employees also had plenty of opportunities to attend United Way rallies, play a company-wide game of Bingo, and more. All of the fun added up to a 15% increase in employee giving! More.

What do you enjoy about volunteering for SEUW?
I enjoy knowing that all the volunteering is making Sioux Falls a better community. Also I love the spirit of the United Way employees and knowing they are doing their best to make sure Sioux Falls is becoming a better place to live.
What does Live United mean to you?
Live United means caring for others and making sure we are civically and socially responsible in making where we live the best place we can. I am an avid promoter of giving at the Heart Club level and urge businesses to match their employees' contributions.
Is there anything else you would like to share with other United Way volunteers/supporters? Sioux Empire United Way is very special, and we are all lucky to be part of such a great group of volunteers. I urge them to continue their support in Living United.

Campaign Resources
Here's a fun idea to promote SEUW and Living United. Have your co-workers trace their hands on a variety of colored paper, draw a turkey face onto your bulletin board or in your breakroom, and dress him up with a Live United shirt. Quick, fun and festive!
