Sioux Empire United Way is proud to be a leader in researching needs in the Sioux Empire and developing programs to strengthen our community.

	Bright Start Provides children a bright start to their future through a nurse home visitation program.

	Connecting Kids Provides information and financial resources for families who may need assistance in getting their kids involved in activities.

	Genesis Engages the community in providing families and individuals with opportunities to achieve safe and permanent housing. Partners with the local faith community, service organizations, and businesses to provide participants with financial literacy and parenting curriculum.
	Heart Safe, Save A Life - PAD Project Through a matching grant program, 125 Autmated External Defibrillators were placed throughout the Sioux Empire in 2005. AEDs help the survival rate of victims of sudden cardiac arrest.

	Imagination Library Provides books to children in Lincoln, McCook, Minnehaha or Turner Counties from birth to age 5, click here for the online signup form.

	Ready to Read! Promotes the importance of early childhood literacy and motivates parents and childcare and preschool providers to read to children before they enter school.

	Rural Senior Initiative Rural Education, Recreation & Socialization - provides social/wellness opportunities for rural seniors in Dell Rapids, Parker, Canton, and Lennox.

	Sioux Empire Family Foundations Supports parents, enriches families and teaches children through interactive community meetings.

	Starting Strong in the Sioux Empire Ensures all children have the opportunity to receive a quality early childhood education.

	Success by 6^® Helps all children succeed in life by establishing a comprehensive response to the needs of young children and their families through a community partnership.

	Wings for Life Provides kids with tools to help them become productive and emotionally healthy students and adults.

	Workers On Wheels Ensures older adults are able to stay independent in their homes with the help of volunteers.
