
What is Sioux Empire Family Foundations?
Sioux Empire Family Foundations is an initiative that supports parents and caregivers, enriches families and teaches children valuable social, emotional and developmental skills. This is done through interactive community meetings held at area elementary schools for ALL families with young children in the Sioux Empire. Who can participate in Family Foundations?
ALL families with children from birth up to kindergarten are encouraged to participate in this FREE program.
Where will Family Foundations take place?
Family Foundations meetings will be held in elementary schools throughout the Sioux Empire. Fall sessions begin in August and run through December. Spring sessions begin in January and run through May. To sign up for Family Foundations fill out the form below or call 367-7963.
What can I expect from a Family Foundations event?
Get ready to experience a fun, interactive, informative and social evening with your family and other people in your community, neighborhood and school. The entire program is FREE to all caregivers and their young children. The evening starts off with a FREE meal provided to ALL families who register. Meetings will focus on families with children from birth up to kindergarten. You and your entire family are encouraged to attend. Families will participate in activity time, focused on parent/child interactions. Parents will have the opportunity for discussions with other parents about the challenges and joys of raising children while providing support and advice to one another. Child development professionals will be on hand to answer questions, talk with parents and provide families new ideas for activities they can do together.
