The Sioux Empire United Way Heart Club

The Sioux Empire United Way’s Leadership Giving program is affectionately called the Heart Club.

The Heart Club began in 1984 with 124 members who raised a total of $76,900. This past year, 4,924 individuals invested with their hearts contributing through Heart Club $3,588,721 towards the 2007 Campaign. These leadership gifts represent 42% of all the dollars raised for the Sioux Empire community. The Heart Club has grown into a magnificent group of caring individuals dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community.

Your gift at a leadership level demonstrates your desire to participate personally in achieving strong, positive, and lasting results in our community. The Sioux Empire United Way and our member agencies wish to express gratitude to those individuals who have chosen to better the lives of others through participation in the Heart Club.

Heart Club Awards
Any donor who gives a leadership gift of $500 or more will receive a wooden plaque as a thank you. They will also receive a Heart Club booklet with their name listed.

Gifts from Both Spouses
Couples may combine their gifts to reach a higher level in the Heart Club. One plaque is given per $500 gift. (If a couple’s combined gift is $500, they will receive one plaque together. If a couple’s combined gift is $1,000 or more, they will each receive a plaque.)

Couples are listed under their employers in the Heart Club booklet, with the employee’s name listed first. Example:

Heart Club Levels
Individuals who contribute to the Sioux Empire United Way at the following giving levels are recognized as Heart Club members:

Golden Heart ($500 - $749)
Golden Heart Plus ($750 - $999)
Grand Heart ($1,000 - $1,499)
Grand Heart Plus ($1,500 - $1,999)
Pacemaker ($2,000 - $3,499)
Pacemaker Plus ($3,500 - $4,999) - new for 2002
Heart 5000 ($5,000 - $7,499)
Heart 7500 ($7,500 - $9,999) - new for 2002
Alexis de Tocqueville Society ($10,000 or more)
