Christina Riss

Christina is a Freeman, SD native. She earned her BS in Education and MS in Counseling & Human Resource Development from South Dakota State University.

Christina leads the day-to-day operations of Sioux Empire United Way while advancing the organization's mission through strategic leadership and community collaboration. She oversees the Community Impact division, leading the community impact funding process and fostering strong relationships with nonprofit partners. Working closely with the President and CEO, Christina also helps guide budgeting, strategic planning, staff development, and organizational operations to ensure lasting impact across the Sioux Empire.

Outside of work, Christina enjoys spending time with her husband, Brandon, and their children, Camden, Luca, and Lily. She loves baking and cooking, making memories on family vacations to Disney, and spending quality time with family and friends.
