Each year Sioux Empire United Way's Day of Action brings hundreds of volunteers together to complete hands-on projects that strengthen local nonprofits and the communities they serve.

Sioux Empire United Way's Day of Action brings our community together for one purpose: serving local nonprofits through meaningful, hands-on volunteer projects.
In 2026, 467 volunteers completed 35 service projects across the Sioux Empire, contributing an estimated 934 hours of service to strengthen the organizations that support children, vulnerable adults, and people in crisis. From landscaping and painting to organizing donations and preparing community spaces, volunteers tackled projects that help nonprofit partners focus more of their time and resources on serving others.
