A Gift That Lasts. Make a Planned Gift.

You can plan now to make an investment that will continue to help people in need forever. Making a planned gift is the best way to ensure your dreams for the community are not left to chance. Whether you intend to make a gift now or in the future, your Sioux Empire United Way in partnership with the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation offers a variety of Planned Giving options to meet the charitable and financial objectives that are important to you.

We will be here forever.

Sioux Empire United Way has been supporting our community since 1929. We have a long and successful history of providing leadership and funding support for programs provided by local non-profit agencies. Our position as a community solutions provider and proactive problem solver ensures an important community role far into the future.

Planned Giving Options & Benefits

A planned gift not only greatly impacts our community but can also be advantageous for the donor. Various laws governing charitable contributions strongly support donating portions of estates, qualified retirement plans, and other significant gifts that will bring about positive change for many years and decades ahead.

Some examples of planned gifts include:

  • Endowments and Gifts of Cash
  • Bequests by Will
  • Charitable Lead or Remainder Trusts
  • Real Estate
  • Life Insurance Benefits
  • Memorial and Appreciation Gifts
  • Stocks and Bonds
  • IRA or Retirement Funds
  • Gift Annuities

To learn more about the available giving options please contact our Major Gifts & Planned Giving Director, Rachael, by email or at 605-336-2095. You can also click here to inform us of your planned gift intentions.

Testimonials

“Over the years, we have seen all the good our Sioux Empire United Way donations have done. We also know that over the years our community needs will change, and that Sioux Empire United Way funded programs will address those ever-changing needs. We want to see the lives of people in our community be better even after we are gone.
- Dennis and Pam Hanneman

“Planned giving is our way of showing our commitment to the community and hopefully inspiring others to do the same. It provides the peace of mind that the organizations that do so much for the community are provided for well into the future.”
- Tanielle and Joel Sylvester
